Summit Off-Sites Around Chicago’s Tech Scene

This year at the Summit we're introducing Off-Site Visits.

They are behind the scenes tours/meet and greets at a few of Chicago's most interesting AEC companies.

mHUB's Grand Opening featuring Mayor Emanuel this past Fall in Chicago.

They'll be hosted on Wednesday afternoon, May 3rd, before the Kick-Off Reception. So if you're coming in Wednesday a.m., it would be a great way to spend the day.

Here's some info on what you'll find at each...

CityZenith Launch Party at U.I. Labs - 3:00 p.m.

Cityzenith is launching an awesome product on the first day of the Summit (congrats!). It's award-winning 5D Smart World™ software platform is a next-generation City Information Modeling (CIM) tool, which revolutionizes the way AEC and building professionals design, collaborate, analyze, present, and operate their Smart City and Smart Campus projects.

They're hosting a launch party at U.I. Labs (1415 N Cherry Ave) and BuiltWorlds will be there!

SOM - 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) is one of the largest and most influential architecture, interior design, engineering, and urban planning firms in the world. Founded in 1936, SOM has completed more than 10,000 projects in over 50 countries. They are renowned for their iconic buildings and their commitment to design excellence, innovation, and sustainability.

You'll get a personal tour from our of their associates, Neil Katz.

mHUB - 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

mHUB began after a Chicago council was tasked with charting a course toward the next great era of Chicagoland manufacturing. They now foster connections between local manufacturers, university researchers and our city’s entrepreneurial community of makers and technologists, not to mention investors who are eager to support new businesses. (It's an awesome space!)
