Adam Hengels is co-founder of Parafin, a software startup that uses artificial intelligence to generate building concepts, budgets, and financial models for real estate developers. Adam’s background brings his experience in real estate finance, development, and design to the creation of Parafin. His experience with extremely complex financial analysis, design and construction prepared him to recognize the immense power of merging design and development.
Previous to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Adam worked nearly eight years at Forest City Ratner Companies on the development of the $5B Atlantic Yards and Barclays Center Project in Brooklyn, NY.
A licensed Professional Engineer, Adam practiced Structural Engineering, as well as MEP design before transitioning into real estate development. Adam attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he earned a Masters of Real Estate Development from the MIT Center for Real Estate. He earned a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois, and Master of Structural Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
