|Charles Portelli has earned a Bachelor’s of Architecture degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Master’s degree from the Product Architecture Lab at Stevens Institute of Technology. He has also taught at Pratt, City Tech and NJIT. Mr. Portelli’s previous employment includes being an Associate Principal for the architectural firm Kohn, Pederson, and Fox (KPF) from 2007 – 2016. Mr. Portelli’s experience as a licensed architect offers him a deeper understanding of how computational methodologies in the AEC space can bridge the gap between process and product.
Mr. Portelli’s previous experience at KPF includes leading the Computational Geometry Group for several years specialized in solving and documenting complex geometry; additionally, while at KPF his work experience included developing a series in house applications that were distributed firm wide to help extend seamless integration of design, sustainability, documentation, and fabrication parameters across multiple modeling application.
