Tom Lineen is the EVP and General Manager of the Construction division of APiO, a SLC, UT-based FinTech that’s poised to forever change how businesses engage in B2B commerce. Leveraging our proprietary PremiSync data integration technology, APiO has created the Construction Integration Hub for businesses large and small. The Hub connects accounting systems and ERPs to disparate on-premise and cloud applications to improve efficiency throughout the project and the organizations. This provides unprecedented workflow automation and visibility into incoming and outgoing cash. It also allows us to provide needed financial services with less effort and greater results than traditional means.
APiO’s Financial Automation Platform helps companies accelerate incoming cash, preserve and reduce outgoing cash and better manage and deploy excess capital resulting from business operations.
Prior to APiO, Tom was CEO of AVASIS. AVASIS was a SaaS based software application poised to disrupt the Trillion-dollar construction industry by digitalizing all aspects of the project with a specific focus on digitalizing the movement of payments, historically dominated by cash and paper checks.
Earlier, Tom was President & Chief Revenue Officer of US Merchant Systems (USMS), overseeing the company’s customer-facing activities in the United States and Canada, including sales, business development, strategy and relationship management with processing partners, merchants, digital partners, and acquirers. He also sat on the company’s Board of Directors. His efforts paved the way for the shareholders to successfully exit the USMS core business in 2017 and fuel the growth of their most successful subsidiary, Convenient Payments. With Tom’s stewardship, Convenient Payments turned around a negative $1 million EBIDTA 2015 to positive cash flow business within 12 months, ultimately culminating in an anticipated exit in 2018 for over a 7x return for the shareholders.
Along with his strategic leadership roles in technology companies, he is an active angel investor, mentor, and advisor focused on the FinTech space who understands the unique challenges of being an entrepreneur, from both the operator and investor perspective.
