Chicago Forum Meetup

7.12.2022 10:00AM - 11:30AM

BuiltWorlds Office 515 N. State Street, 2nd Floor Chicago, IL 60654

Ahead of this year’s Construction Tech Conference taking place July 13th and 14th in Chicago, the Chicago Forum will meet at the BuiltWorlds office in the River North neighborhood. Forum members and the steering committee will meet to discuss the overall vision of the forum, map out remaining initiatives for 2022 and also discuss the parameters of the upcoming Tech Rise competition. Additionally, a highlight and call to action of Chicago area investors within the AEC ecosystem will be covered by Dave Hettinger, Founder and CEO of Entropy.

David Hettinger focuses his consulting practice on the construction industry and the broader built environment. His career to date has focused primarily on analyzing problem projects—helping owners and contractors recover from cost overruns and schedule delays. His goal now with Entropy is to leverage that knowledge to prevent problem projects—for the benefit of the industry as a whole. He believes a significant opportunity exists for construction players today to leverage new or existing technologies (…and the data generated from those technologies) to prevent or resolve disputes in real-time—doing so will help to lower risk, preserve margins, and avoid significant future costs.

With a unique background rooted in engineering, business, construction, coaching, and products, David is well positioned to assist project teams, individuals, and innovation teams. David received his master’s in the management of product design and development from Northwestern University, and studied systems engineering, design, and business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
