“Digital Transformation” has become somewhat commonplace in traditional vertical construction, but is no less impactful in horizontal construction. Cloud-based digitization of construction processes can deliver projects with reduced change orders and risks to realize cost savings and profit. This call will look at the Valley Transportation Authority’s BART (Bay Area Rapid Transport) Silicon Valley Extension Program, which plans to extend BART service six miles into Santa Clara. We’ll hear from three key project stakeholders — Kiewit, VIATechnik, and Mott MacDonald — on the dividends of digital transformation in infrastructure using the VTA’s BART Extension as a case study.
