11/17 2021 10am CT. Project Management Mike Tyson famously said, “Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.” Project Managers relate to this quote on the challenging nature of ambiguity. Just because buildings are planned to the very last digital byte does not automatically translate to a successful project. Along with an unprecedented wave of incoming data and workstreams, Project Managers must be nimble enough to deal with real-world uncertainties and manage stakeholders holding competing priorities. Technologies exist to bring project management into the 21st century and smooth these unforeseen bumps in the road. Projects are becoming increasingly complex regarding sequencing schedules, workflows, and building construction processes. However, Project Managers combat this with augmented reality, AI, and global connectivity; successful projects are those that maintain a strong grasp on unwieldy details. There already is a push within the construction industry to innovate and deliver more for less. Learn more from BuiltWorlds’ Project Management topics to learn how the industry is leveraging BIM, machine learning, automated workflows, and mobile apps to plan smarter, work better, and maintain adaptability in a fast-changing world.
