Young and dynamic VDC services firm is seeking an all-around project engineer or project manager to work on large infrastructure and commercial projects. The project engineer / project manager will manage his/her own projects and learn about the latest VDC technology. Work includes coordinating with design and engineering team, interfacing with the client, and managing his/her team to represent the owner, complete VDC models, and schedules on time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist Project Director with VDC and overall GC/vendor oversight
- Create phasing plans/resource management
- Issue resolution (BIM/clash detection)
- RFI & submittal tracking/review
- Project status documentation
- Manage project closeout
- Attend site visits with Project Director
- Schedule/coordinate project meetings; provide meeting updates to participants
Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience in virtual design and construction
- Bachelors/Masters or PhD in Construction Management, Architecture or Similar Degrees
- Eager to teach & eager to learn
- Entrepreneurial drive to experiment and apply new techniques
- Desire to solve problems on own as well as part of a team
- Ability to take on work with minimal direction
- Solid experience & working knowledge of industry software packages (i.e. Revit, Navisworks, Primavera, Procore, etc.)
- Understanding & familiarity of innovative tools (Synchro, Holobuilder, Matterport, etc.)
