As we look toward our 2021 US Summit, it is an opportune time to look back at the talks from the 2020 Summit to see where our focus was then and how those themes might carry forward this year. Last May, the world was in the grips of the Covid 19 pandemic, and talks at the conference (held via Zoom) centered on how Covid would impact the industry, investment, technology adoption, and the work place.

This Year's Summit Will Be Live, and Much of the Focus Will Be on the Pace of Business Today

This year, as we look at a world working to move past the ravages of Covid, the industry's focus is turning from last year's fears of a dramatic downturn to the affects of an accelerating economy with supply chain issues, talent shortages, commodity price increases, a renewed infrastructure push, and ESG topics all now top of mind.

Against that backdrop, we will also be probing an ecosystem in which investment in technology has accelerated, both by investors and industry players. Beyond investment, we will hear from senior level industry players about how they are also developing and implementing technology in their processes and finding increasing utility in areas like robotics and AR/VR that have mostly been limited to pilot testing to-date. As change accelerates in many ways, the view from the Summit looks to be of a dramatically different industry on the horizon.
