1. Grit announces first adopters

Grit, a construction planning engine that utilizes VR technology, announced its first five clients: McCownGordon Construction, Skender Construction, Leopardo Construction, Chicago, Hoar Construction, and Key Construction. (Source)

2. Smart City Works to hold seminar for Infrastructure Week

Smart City Works is an accelerator for businesses disrupting civil infrastructure. On May 15 in Washington, DC, Smart City Works is holding a day long seminar on connected infrastructure. You can register for the seminar here.

3. SYNDEO helps cities gain bandwidth for IoT devices

SYNDEO’s Smart Panel Mini-Vaults are inserted into sidewalk curbs and provide a protected space to install Smart City technology. In a recent blog post, SYNDEO provided advice to cities for increasing bandwidth to prepare for more IoT devices. (Source)

4. Pype blogs about the need for more automation in construction

Pype is a software that helps users start projects faster. By automating submittal registers, Pype can save project engineers over three hours a day. (Source)

5. BuildSim helps users meet the ASHRAE Standard 209.

BuildSim is a cloud-based building energy modeling automation platform. BuildSim is particularly useful for meeting the early design phase specifications in the ASHRAE Standard 209. (Source)
