Pivoting away from progress tracking, our next panel was assembled to discuss equipment management and material procurement. Specifically, this panel will attempt to highlight various means to ensure the efficient and transparent transition of materials, products, equipment, and other components from their production location to the jobsite. Javier Castaneda, Director of Engineering and Horizontal Construction Technology at BuiltWorlds, guided the conversation between Raghi Iyengar, CEO of Manufacton by ViZZ Technologies, and Christian Jansson, Head of Marketing with Hilti ON!Track, to accomplish this objective. Despite the amount of experience between the panelists and the value equipment management and material procurement adds, our survey data indicates that there is relatively low adoption in the field.
To launch the conversation, Raghi and Christian attempted to illuminate the audience as to why their solutions are not being implemented as much as they could be and described some of the bottlenecks they face.
