As AI matures from a “frontier experiment” to a foundational layer, this panel of all-women investors met at the recent BuiltWorlds AI/ML Conference to discuss the potential of vertical AI within the construction sector. Covering the full spectrum from seed to growth, these experts explored the shifting VC dynamics of 2026: ballooning round sizes, “AI premiums” on valuations, and the rigorous revenue expectations required to survive the “Series B air gap.” The panel stemmed from moderator Mayra Arntz, principal at Building Ventures, after attending the 2025 BuiltWorlds Venture East Conference, where she noticed that many of the panels were predominantly male.
“I know a bunch of cool, female investors and thought we should have a panel where they share what they know and also show younger people and older women interested in VC that there are seats for them at the table,” Arntz explained in a one-on-one interview with BuiltWorlds. “I’m a Latin immigrant (who’s) had very different roles in my career. I’m also a mom. And, if I can do it, why wouldn’t all other women be able to do it?”
We’re proud to share this panel recording as part of Women in Construction Week 2026, shining a light on all the ways women in our industry are moving us forward.
