WakeCap is looking for an experienced director to lead our product management team and efforts, having an impact for years to come. We’re going after one of the least digitized sectors in the world, the construction industry – it’s ripe for technological innovation as we emerge from the global pandemic better than before. As the Director of Product Management at a high-growth startup, you have a wide-ranging, dynamic set of responsibilities. Your core function is to grow, develop, and lead a team of Product Managers that create and ship winning products for WakeCap. You will be responsible for defining and managing our feature roadmap, owning the customer-facing product from strategy to execution and beyond. You’ll play a key role in delivering and driving the products towards our vision, including establishing the best-in-class process and methodology for Product Management that you’ve picked up in your career and that will be used for years to come.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
- Lead Product Management for teams focused on internal + external platform services
- Recruit, hire, train, and empower a team of outstanding PMs
- Identify emerging technologies and industry trends, build business cases, and define product vision and strategy
- Articulate and design customer experiences that make our customers smile
- Understand customer pain points, come up with solutions, and then prototype, iterate, and launch frequently
- Be an owner of products and businesses, end to end
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- 10+ yrs experience relevant to product leadership, including managing product teams
- 3+ experience with Enterprise or Industrial Software delivered as SaaS/Cloud
- Fluent in engineering concepts to capture technical requirements, and ability to translate them for non-technical audiences
- Entrepreneurial, with track record of building & scaling new products & businesses
- Grit, a willingness to roll up your sleeves, and be a hands-on help to your team
- Ability to deal with and execute under ambiguity
- Prior experience in the construction industry is a major plus
