3 Key Takeaways from Venture West 2019

Earlier this week, the BuiltWorlds team traded an all-too-early Chicago winter for sunny California and traveled to the heart of Palo Alto for our Venture West Conference. It was a great event, featuring some of the most influential players and stakeholders in the construction venture field. We know some of you couldn’t make the trek out west, so here are three brief, but vital takeaways we gleaned from the conference:

We heard from Rusty Reed, Chief Strategy Officer at Procore; and Rajesh Ram, Co-Founder and Chief Customer Officer at Egnyte, as they explored the good and the bad of getting started in this business just before the Great Recession hit in 2008. It was clear that staying scrappy and prioritizing the end-user was the key to developing themselves into some of the leading construction technology solutions on the market today.
