At the 2023 Buildings Conference we were able to catch up with Denyse van Opbergen, Manager of Corporate Sustainability at EllisDon Corporation to get her take on some of the exciting development happening at EllisDon that will attempt to address the sustainability approach the large Canadian contractor has taken and will continue to focus on.
In her role as Manager, Corporate Sustainability at EllisDon, Denyse van Opbergen works on identifying and reducing emissions across the company’s focus areas: EllisDon’s own operations, the materials procured, and the operations of the projects built. Her educational background and industry experience (in-house, consulting, and public policy) allows her to effectively support the company through the process of identifying, defining, and implementing EllisDon’s low carbon agenda at a corporate- and project-level.
Join us at our upcoming Americas Summit where we will be joined once again by our friends from EllisDon where Brandon Milner, SVP, Digital & Data Engineering where be joining a panel titled: From the C-Suite to the Field: The Delicate Dance of the Innovation Leader. He will be joined onstage by Eric Whobrey from ARCO/Murray, Gener Hodges from Mortenson, Louis Cotten from VINCI, and Yuji Doi from Kajima. This panel is just one of many taking place at the Summit where industry leaders will gather to talk through the future of the construction industry.
