About Northwestern University – MPM and EMDC programs

The MS in Project Management (MPM) and the online MS in Executive Management for Design and Construction (EMDC) prepare individuals for leadership and executive roles in major civil and environmental engineering, architectural, and design projects.

The MPM program offers full-time and part-time on-campus programs, taught on the Evanston campus, and combines the essential components of civil engineering design with the functional concepts of business management and behavioral science to develop a versatile and technically oriented individual capable of directing complex civil engineering projects.

The EMDC program is a flexible 12-course online program that prepares current and future executives to be successful leaders of organizations in the design and construction industries. Graduates will typically advance into senior leadership positions in an architectural, engineering, or construction firm.
