Project Management Software has become near-universal infrastructure, with 80% of organizations using it on every project, up from just over 71% reporting any use in 2025.
Digital Twins, by contrast, remain in a clear piloting phase. The largest share of organizations (30%) are still testing on several projects, and only 10% use the technology on every project, 70 points behind Project Management Software.
This pattern mirrors 2025 findings, indicating that Digital Twins have yet to graduate from experimentation to standard practice, even as construction projects grow more complex in ways that could benefit from the technology.
