While times are uncertain for startups looking to raise capital in the AEC industry, infrastructure technology has been a relatively sure bet for investors and one that extensively propelled built-world venture capital funding to another record year in terms of inflows.
Nonetheless, AI-enabled companies are also receiving considerable attention. Briq, a platform that uses AI to automate business workflows, was the most recent illustration of this with the recent announcement that they raised an additional $8M Series B+ extension, on top of their initial $30M Series B announced on in 2021.

In fact, Blackhorn Ventures, MetaProp, and Briq are all set to speak at BuiltWorlds' 2024 Venture West Conference in San Francisco, CA (April 3-4).
As it happens, a third BuiltWorlds member, the Nemetschek Group, has recently announced that they, too, invested in Briq.
