Another member we caught up with at Venture East in Miami this past November was Brianne Stewart, Construction Technology Manager, Milwaukee Tool. It is a longstanding industry saying that Technology is a tool. So, it is no surprise that the industry’s traditional tool companies should be among the most active acquirers and developers of construction technology software. We had the honor of visiting Milwaukee Tool many times over the past several years to learn about their digital journey. In this discussion, Stewart talks about the how the drive for adoption in their contractor companies is taking shape and also Milwaukee Tool’s commitment to breaking down silos across the ecosystem in order to further innovation.
A Look Back at Our Visit to Milwaukee Tool’s New Products Symposium in June 2016
Our vist to Milwaukee Tool in 2016 gave us the opportunity to learn about their commitment to user-driven innovation in product development and to learn about the launch of their One Key product earlier that spring. Since that time, we have seen a host of developments linking tools and data to the broader ecosystem. Most recently, we heard that news that Milwaukee Tool will be expanding with a new, 70,000-SF office in Chicago for its engineering group as well as a major expansion in downtown Milwaukee where is plans to add more than 1200 jobs.
