Digitization is reshaping so many industries around the globe, but none more significantly than the built environment. Company leaders are using corporate venture capital (CVC) to gain access to these new technologies while accelerating innovation. There is no substitute for industry expertise as an industry-focused startup develops, and as such, the role of CVC players is more important than ever.

Fireside Chat: Investing in a Bear Market

Ray Levitt, Operating Partner, Blackhorn Ventures

Explore how the various stakeholders (designers, contractors, developers, and building owner-operators) within the AEC lifecycle traditionally fare in downturns. Many of the point solutions in the market today offering functions like, automated data capture, data integration, data analytics & insights, digital twins, lien and payment processing, among others, can generate remaining or even enhanced value to the players in these industry sectors in a downturn, especially if software startups can structure their pricing and licensing to maximize ongoing revenues even in a downturn.

Keynote: Growth Investing and the New Age of PropTech

Momei Qu, Vice President, PSP Growth

Our industry has heard the message loud and clear – real estate and construction need to be more digitized. In recent years hundreds of PropTech businesses were formed and received billions of dollars from venture capitalists. Where do we go from here? Join Momei Qu, lead PropTech investor at growth equity firm PSP Growth, as she talks about the current state of play and how she finds sustainable businesses in a fast-growing but increasingly crowded sector.

Rajesh Ram, Co-Founder & Chief Customer Officer, Egnyte | Rusty Reed, Chief Strategy Officer, Procore

With the potential of an upcoming recession, the business within the built industry will surely be impacted. What does this mean for technology adoption?
