Guillaume is an experienced innovation leader with a demonstrated history of working at the intersection of the construction and energy industries. Before moving to Paris and joining the VINCI group to spearhead its startup initiative, he was Head of Product at a construction technology company based in San Francisco, CA. Guillaume holds a Master of Science (MS) focused in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University and a Nuclear Engineering Degree from Grenoble Institute of Technology. Over the last 10 years, he has been a vocal advocate for a fast transition to a clean, renewable energy future. If BuiltWorlds is a bridge connecting technologists and industry professionals from around the world, Guillaume Bazouin is the bridge that connects the French ecosystem to the American ecosystem and beyond.
Bethany Gardner
Design Thinking Lead, Bechtel
Ms. Gardner is a Design Thinking/ Human-Centered Design Specialist with expertise in implementing creative problem-solving strategies for organizations. Her background in digital strategy, entrepreneurship, mobile marketing, consulting, and change management make her particularly well-suited to helping others solve complex problems with innovative solutions. She has worked in and with many different industries, including government, B2B and B2C, technology, real estate, and consulting, both domestically and internationally.
Les Hiscoe
CEO, Shawmut
Les Hiscoe is CEO of Shawmut, a leading $1.5 billion national construction management firm. As CEO, Hiscoe drives the continued growth and success of the company by creating the most differentiated customer experience in the industry, working with executive leadership to ensure delivery of exceptional levels of client service, developing teams of remarkably talented people, and implementing the latest technologies across every aspect of the business. Hiscoe was named a 2021 BuiltWorlds Maverick award winner, a University of New Hampshire 2019 Alumni Hall of Fame member, and a 2018 Visionary by C-Suite Quarterly for being a driving force in the success and continued growth of the Los Angeles and New York markets. He sits on the Board of Directors for ACE Mentor Program New York and Rebuilding Together NYC. He is a member of the Corporation for the Perkins School for the Blind and a Roger Williams University Trustee. Hiscoe graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a B.S. in civil engineering. He is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Institute at MIT’s Sloan School of Management and is a registered professional engineer
