Speaker Highlight: Jason Pritzker of Fifty Three Stations to Speak at CEO Forum Dinner on April 16

Our journey has no end in sight. It is the continuous pursuit of Wisdom and the unending challenge of applying that earned Wisdom…”

Venture capital has played a massive role in the development of and innovations in the built world. As funding to AEC-focused investors has more than tripled over the last decade, there have increasingly been opportunities for entrepreneurs to turn ideas into products into success stories and lessons learned. Through all of the advancements the industry has been able to make on its journey to digitalization, venture capital funding has been a critical component to the tech developed along the way.

One of the driving forces in the industry is the influx of perspectives and ideas from those who have made a career in other fields. As other industries have found successful adoption in data collection devices such as cameras and sensors, analytics through digital twins and dashboarding, fintech solutions, procurement, and more, there is increasingly a developed knowledge base eager to bring improvements to the built world. Similarly, venture capitalists with a broad mandate across industries have the ability to access wide swaths of information and products to then advise and invest in the built world.

Big news from the venture capital world broke in November of 2023 when 53 Stations announced the launch of its massive $190M Fund I. 53 Stations, the Pritzker Organization’s latest endeavor in the private equity world, focuses on early stage technology across various industries with a broad mandate to invest in various types of technology. In an economic market that has led investors and founders alike to be much more cautious with their capital, the announcement of fresh funding signals optimism for the market and for construction founders. Though its first investments were outside of the AEC space, 53 Station’s investment in PaintJet in December signaled its interest in the opportunities the construction space has to offer.

This April 16th, Jason Pritzker, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of the fund, will be joining us to share some of his insights and experiences in investing, and the opportunities available to the AEC space.
