Ibrahim Tadros of Amana Investments, speaking on behalf of large industry builders in the region spoke about the role of government in mega projects in the region. He talks about the public investment fund, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, and other government groups and their role in fostering aggressive infrastructure investment, even despite Covid. Meantime, we also heard from Karim Helal, whose father, beginning in 1968, was a pioneer in building Abu Dhabi. He spoke about the push within the region with 3D printing, modular building, robotics, and software to be able to build more with less.
