“We got involved with BuiltWorlds looking for opportunities to connect with other general contractors who specifically are working with technology and AI,” ICON Builders COO Steve Frandsen told us in an one-on-one interview at the 2026 Construction Tech Conference in Chicago, Ill. “What I like about it is that I’ve found now other general contractors similar in size to us…. We’re able to share what we’re doing, they’re able to share what they’re doing, and (we) commiserate and celebrate (about) technology and AI.”

With an estimated $6.7 trillion in investment needed to meet global data center demand by 2030, the industry is at a pivotal moment. General contractors, specialty contractors, designers, developers, owners, and technology providers will join us in Nashville to engage in meaningful networking and conversations about what’s actually working, lessons learned, and which innovations are poised to shape the future of date center delivery are often siloed within individual segments of the industry or even individual organizations.
