AROUND THE NETWORK: LMRE Announces Partnership With Women In Construction Tech

Women in Construction Tech, a community dedicated to empowering female founders, investors, and adopters to help create opportunities, and develop relationships for women driving innovation in the construction industry, today announced a strategic partnership with BuiltWorlds member LMRE, a Built Environment Technology Recruitment and Search Consultancy, globally recognized for leading the way in Real Estate Tech, Construction Tech & Innovation talent management.

As part of the partnership, WCT will work closely with LMRE to create a more diverse and inclusive work environment, envisioning a construction industry where women, and those of a historically marginalized background, are well networked and support each other’s efforts to improve, advance and thrive in the space. This partnership is a step forward in achieving that goal and creating a more equitable future for women in the construction technology industry through hosting events and webinars, providing mentorship and networking opportunities, and minimising bias in the hiring process.

“It’s amazing to see how much demand there is for something like this in our industry. From our first event, we’ve had lots of interest and we are thrilled at how quickly we’ve grown this community. Clearly there was a need,” commented Antonia Soler, Founding member of WCT and Tech Office Director at BuiltWorlds member Hilti GroupJulieta Moradei, the other Founding member of WCT and Partner at BuiltWorlds member Hometeam Ventures explains the purpose and goal of the partnership; “As innovation rapidly remakes the construction industry, new roles are being created every day. Being in partnership with LMRE will ensure that our members have access to these amazing new opportunities and are generally prepared for the future of construction.”

“It fills us with immense pride to announce LMRE’s partnership with the Women In Construction Technology Organization”, commented Romey Oulton, US ConTech Consultant and Growth Partner at WCT, “at LMRE, we take ownership to ensure a client’s hiring strategy intentionally cultivates a diverse, balanced and inclusive recruitment process. The database WCT is building will be invaluable to ensuring we have centralized access to talented women in the ConTech space. In turn, it gives us further power to support candidates that otherwise may have gone unseen.”

Our Construction Tech Conference is intended to look holistically at how technology is influencing the way we build – from pre-construction through construction functions, in the office as well as in the field.
