Innovation Analyst

Cultivate a culture of innovation by collecting, evaluating and documenting process improvement ideas internally. Moreover, assist in evaluating, piloting and reporting on emerging technologies disrupting the AEC industry.

Job Responsibilities

1.      Continuously research and identify new and emerging technologies relevant to the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry, focusing on tools and solutions that enhance efficiency, safety, and innovation.

2.      Conduct detailed assessments of potential technologies, analyzing factors such as technical feasibility, cost-benefit analysis, and alignment with organizational goals.

3.      Design and execute pilot programs to test emerging technologies in real-world scenarios, ensuring robust evaluation of their impact on processes and outcomes.

4.      Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and project managers, to identify technology pain points and opportunities for innovation.

5.      Collect and analyze data from technology pilots to provide actionable insights, detailed reports, and recommendations for scaling successful implementations.

6.      Create compelling use cases for emerging technologies, showcasing their potential to solve industry challenges and improve business operations.

7.      Monitor advancements in construction technology, artificial intelligence, IoT, robotics, and other relevant fields to proactively recommend strategies that maintain a competitive edge.

8.      Engage with technology providers, startups, and industry leaders to explore partnerships and stay informed about the latest tools and solutions.

9.      Occasionally travel to job sites, conferences, or external partners to gather insights, oversee project progress, or present findings.

10.   Actively support team members across various projects by contributing hands-on assistance ensuring the success of broader team objectives.

 

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or AEC relevant field.

 

1-3 years of experience in AEC industry preferred, but not required.

 

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications Etc.

1.      Process improvement, lean methodology and/or project management experience highly preferred

2.      Good communication, interpersonal skills, and presentation abilities.

3.      Strong project management skills. Ability to organize and manage complex implementation tasks, establish and meet schedules, root cause analysis skills and maintain focus on goals. 

4.      Ability to leverage creative skills to problem solving with an innovative mindset, working independently with minimal oversight to accomplish goals.

5.      Construction industry experience preferred but not required.
