R&D Analyst

Assist in running research and development projects to meet internal business and client needs. This includes developing and implementing research and development procedures and techniques. The analyst will perform extensive research and compile findings in reports to aid the direction of projects and roadmap.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the identification and protection of intellectual property by conducting background searches, contributing to patent applications, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  2. Gather, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to identify opportunities for product or process improvements, evaluate the feasibility of proposed projects, and document findings in detailed reports for decision-making and future reference.
  3. Evaluate current and upcoming research and development projects, conducting market research to stay abreast of recent advancements and ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry trends.
  4. Draft use cases and feasibility studies to demonstrate the viability of R&D projects for both corporate and field applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.
  5. Present findings and results to internal leadership, including the C-Suite, and represent the organization at external conferences and speaking engagements.
  6. Assist in managing R&D projects with external development teams, ensuring effective communication, deliverable alignment, and successful execution.
  7. Explore and leverage emerging technologies, including AI, XR, robotics, and automation, to drive innovation and support rapid prototyping efforts through tools like SolidWorks, SketchUp, and Fusion 360.
  8. Conduct process mapping, stakeholder analysis, and change management to optimize implementation strategies for new technologies, ensuring smooth adoption within the organization.
  9. Occasionally travel to job sites, conferences, or external partners to gather insights, oversee project progress, or present findings.

10.   Actively support team members across various projects by contributing hands-on assistance ensuring the success of broader team objectives

Education/Experience

        Preferred Degrees: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Computer Science, Product Development, or related fields.

        1-2 years of experience in managing technology-focused R&D projects, preferably in construction or adjacent industries.

        Familiarity with construction workflows is a plus but not required, provided the candidate demonstrates the ability to quickly learn and adapt to the construction industry.
