Despite an overall downturn in construction activity, industry players are continuing to gear up their hiring of technology-focused professionals. As recent posts to the BuiltWorlds Job Board make clear, contractors are going beyond adding to BIM teams, as they add talent to their adoption ranks. One such company is Palmisano, a long-time BuiltWorlds member based out of New Orleans, LA. This fast-growing, mid-sized company is dedicated to leveraging technology as a fundamental element in their growth strategy. As proof of this, they recently hired Josh Webb to the position of Innovation Leader.
As Innovation Leader, Josh leads Palmisano’s charge to adapt, change, and grow in the pursuit of a better way to build. He is responsible for identifying, developing, and delivering new capability and new value for Palmisano and its partners. A newcomer to construction, Josh brings a fresh perspective and mindset around problem-solving from a career spent driving strategic, technology-enabled wins for growth-stage ventures.
Prior to his arrival at Palmisano, Josh served as new product development leader at Laitram, where he led a global team in the development and commercialization of automated, robotic food processing systems. Prior to joining Laitram, he was a business and technology leader for General Electric, where he drove digital transformation for the company’s flagship New Orleans Technology Center.
Palmisano’s leadership in creating a vice president-level technology and innovation position suggests that we will see more companies in the mid-sized ranks making major human resource investments to help enable adoption in the years to come.
In the meantime, welcome to BuiltWorlds, Josh!
