Through a partnership with Badger Meter, the Harris County utility implemented a complete overhaul of their system, incorporating smart meter products and meter reading solutions to improve efficiency in monitoring the water network. The utility district replaced its approximately 900 residential meters with stainless steel E-Series Ultrasonic meters, ranging from 5/8 inch to two inches in size. They also installed 30 commercial three-inch and six-inch meters and retrofitted several commercial meters to work with the appropriate software.
