At our 2022 Venture West Conference in Palo Alto, CA we were able to sit down with the Head of Innovation at Swinerton Builders, Tristen Magallanes, for a quick chat about what she thinks are the most transformational and exciting things happening in the built ecosystem.
Magallanes mentioned advanced robotics being the single most impactful thing happening to construction right now. While a lot of emphasis and focus has been brought onto construction robotics for the boost they can deliver to getting a job done more quickly and at a lower cost than using human capital, Magallanes says that she also view robotics as a way to increase the longevity of workers’ careers in the field.
