Day 2 Schedule
Venture at the Growth Stage

M&A Activities, Trends and Best Practices
M&A activity in the ConTech space is stronger than ever, with over 125 ConTech M&A deals closed in 2021 alone. Some acquisitions included buyers from outside of just construction software companies (e.g. Procore and Autodesk) such as tool manufacturers, imaging companies, and architecture & engineering firms. With increased attention in the construction tech industry, we’re likely to see more M&A activity in the near future as valuations rise for start-ups and buyers seeking ways to expand market opportunities and shareholder value. What makes a good acquisition and why now?

Tanja Kufner, Head of Ventures, Nemetschek Group
Annika Ensrud, VP Sales and Marketing, Hilti

A Look Back at the Past Decade of Built Tech
It has been a wild ride for Built World Tech investing over the past decade. In this session, we look back on how things have changed over the past decade and then look forward at what to expect in the next decade.

Life after the Exit - Answering the question: What’s next?
As more companies are being sold in the ecosystem, we are seeing the emerging of a strong class of "veteran founders" who are finding their way back into the industry in funds, in new startups, and as advisors, we are looking to have a discussion with a group of these really powerful alumni and hear their perspectives on how the industry has changed, what that transition is like, and what they are focusing on in their "what's next?" career phase.
Scott Ellison, Angel-Seed Investor & Advisor focused on BuiltTech, Headwaters
Allen Preger, Partner, Building Ventures
Sunil Dorairajan, Sr. Direpctor Construction Industry Strategy, Autodesk
