For almost a decade, John Gates has been heading up the world’s largest commercial real estate firm’s efforts in America - Jones Lange LaSalle (JLL). JLL has 253 offices worldwide.
BuiltWorlds is fortunate enough to have the opportunity to welcome John to our upcoming series of CEO Forum dinners to give a presentation about how the real estate giant is leveraging technology to grow its footprint even further.
With major initiatives like its $380 million JLL Spark Fund, the firm has made major investments in technology both within their organization and in the industry around it. In addition to their venture investments, they have been a serial acquirer of industry tech companies such as Hank and Envio Systems.
At the 2023 Buildings Conference this past May, we heard from Todd Burns, President and Development Services at JLL, speak about how the global innovator is operationalizing this technology in project management and other parts of the business.
Now, as part of our CEO Forum speaker series Gates will speak more broadly about the commercial real estate industry, changes in the marketplace, and JLL's journey to position for success in our rapidly changing world.
About the CEO Forum
Limited to just 30 representatives, the BuiltWorlds CEO Forum is the peer group of C-Suite executives in the AEC space that was founded this year as part of our Business Strategy research track.
The majority of research the BuiltWorlds analyst team conducts throughout the year revolves around contractors' sentiments and adoption of the wide-array of technology solutions in the marketplace to help guide them to find the best solution for their projects. However, the Business Strategy Track is designed to deliver sentiments at higher levels within these organizations.
In April, at the first CEO Forum Annual Meeting, we welcomed speakers such as;
- Darren Bechtel, Founder & Managing Director, Brick & Mortar Ventures
- Peter Beck, Executive Chairman, The Beck Group
- Rik Kunnath, President, Charles Pankow Foundation
- Peter Holt, CEO / General Manager, Holt Cat
and many more to share their insights into where the industry is headed and how fast it will get there. At the Americas Summit CEO Dinner, taking place September 20 at Willis Tower, Gates will continue this discussion by bringing insights through the lens of the real estate space.
About the Americas Summit
The CEO Dinner event is only one small part of our larger event - the 2023 Americas Summit - taking place in the iconic Willis Tower September 19-21. This event is BuiltWorlds pinnacle event and will welcome CEOs from across the AEC ecosystem to come together and tackle the issues facing the built world. Featuring 60 speakers, ehibitors, small working sessions, and more - this three-day event is aimed and curated for C-Suite individuals to come and share their thought-leadership strategies.
