The building venture ecosystem is looking at an economic slowdown in the face of surging inflation which the Federal Reserve is only now working to curb with demand hampering interest rate hikes. The latest $500 billion addition to the now more than $1 trillion US Infrastructure Bill has AEC enterprises looking towards competitive edge-driving infrastructure technologies. The economic resilience this record breaking fiscal tailwind could provide the built world in a more prolonged broader economic downspell, has many construction companies looking towards a pivot, and the newest infrastructure tech will be a starting point for many players. This call will highlight some of the emerging innovators in this space, with Touchdown Venture and its topical LP with Bentley Construction as an excellent case study on this front.
