Around The Network: Igor Hires New Director of Field Operations Chip Poland

 

As we discussed last week on Day Two of our Buildings Conference, the ability to bring new innovations can lead to improved building efficiencies, waste reduction, and cost savings when it comes to the construction of modern smart buildings. As recent posts to the BuiltWorlds Job Board make clear, both contractors and solutions providers are always on the lookout for talented employees whose experiences align with the rapid advances happening in the built world.  One such company is Igor, a long-time BuiltWorlds member based out of Des Moines, IA. This innovation leader in IoT smart building technology recently hired Edwin “Chip” Poland to the position of Director of Field Operations.

Poland’s expertise in commercial lighting controls and deep knowledge of the commercial electrical contractor business will be instrumental to Igor’s delivery of exceptional customer experiences during the installation of its smart building solutions. His thorough understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) smart building technology will ensure Igor delivers a superior smart building design and implementation experience for both the building owner and electrical contractor tasked with installation responsibility. Poland will further develop the Igor team and support processes to ensure all Igor channel business partners have what they need to successfully deploy Igor smart building solutions.

Throughout his career, Poland has supported full sales and installation cycles, while also leading lighting auditors, specifiers and design teams in providing turnkey project deliverables. He also developed and implemented the nationally recognized midstream ComEd BILD program, has served as a member of the DLC Industry Advisory Committee and has supported multiple research projects with leading centers for technological innovations.
