Jury honors 25 ‘inspiring’ Bentley projects at London conference

LONDON, NOV. 10, 2014 – Industry tech giant Bentley Systems last week concluded its 10th annual Year in Infrastructure Conference by announcing the 25 winners of its 2014 BE INSPIRED Awards. Selected by nine independent panels of jurors, drawn from a pool of 33 industry experts, the BE INSPIRED Awards winners came from 54 project finalists previously chosen from submissions by organizations in 49 countries. (All are users of Bentley products.)
“We celebrate (these) extraordinary examples of BIM advancements at work in the delivery and operations of inspiring buildings, roads, utilities, and more,” said CEO Greg Bentley, speaking Nov. 6 to an audience of several hundred attendees, including more than 100 industry reporters. “I thank and congratulate this year’s BE INSPIRED Awards winners, along with all of our nominees, for their valuable contributions to sustaining infrastructure and improving quality of life around the world.”
Those contributions, cited below, resulted in 18 BE INSPIRED Awards and seven BE INSPIRED Special Recognition Awards. In addition, this year’s recipient of the ‘Bentley Educator of the Year’ award went to Artur Krawczyk, Ph.D., an inspiring and tireless lecturer at AGH University of Science and Technology, Kraków, Poland.
Re the BE INSPIRED awards, Greg Bentley added, “The effective strategies behind these advancements are helping infrastructure organizations achieve better performing assets through increased depth of information modeling and better performing projects through increased breadth of information mobility.”
