Multiple top construction tool suppliers have introduced new tools and technologies to the market since the beginning of 2024. We have observed various improvements in electric, battery-powered and cordless tools, as well as tools that promote safer work environments. Below is a list of some of the latest innovations in tools that are continuing to improve the industry:
In 2022, Hilti introduced Nuron, a cordless platform designed to simplify work on construction sites by improving tool management. The system uses a single battery that can be used across multiple applications. At World of Concrete 2024, Hilti unveiled new updates to its Nuron line, which includes the SC 6WP-22 cordless plunge saw for precise wood cutting, and the TE 50-22 cordless rotary hammer that reduces vibration during lightweight drilling and chiseling in concrete.
Hilti has recently launched the EXO-T-22 tool balancer, which is a wearable, ergonomic tool designed to assist workers in performing wall-breaking tasks. The tool balancer is worn like a backpack and has the capacity to hold tools weighing up to 37 pounds. It distributes the weight of the tool to the ground and across the worker's lower body, making it easier for them to carry and use the tool.

Milwaukee Tools and Columbus McKinnon have collaborated to create the M18 compact 1-ton chain hoist with One-Key. This battery-powered chain hoist can lift up to one metric ton at a height of 20 feet. It reduces installation time, eliminates the need for manual lifting and improves transport convenience across different sites. One-Key is Milwaukee Tools’ connectivity platform, which uses IoT-connected power tools and Bluetooth tracking hardware and software.
