On the October 12, 2022 Analyst Call about Future Workforce that took a positive spin on the labor shortage, Eveart Foster, Director of Technology Adoption at BuiltWorlds was joined by three guests who specialize in the field. Emma Callahan, Consultant at LMRE, Gabe Jewell, CEO at MT Copeland, and Kevin Albert, CEO at Canvas all contributed to a conversation that has been catching a lot of attention worldwide lately as a result of the pandemic and other factors.
Callahan spoke first about her role with LMRE and what the organization is seeing in the construction tech job market where she stated that almost 81% of construction firms are finding some degree of difficulty when it comes to placing talents and the pandemic and looming recession in the US are only going to make that figure grow. However, with the shortage of workers there has been an increased focus on how leveraging technologies to overtake jobs traditionally done by people and a reinvestment of adoption of those technologies.
