The industry’s traditional go-tos for tools for productivity and safety are investing heavily to ensure that they continue to be the industry’s answer for tools, even as those tools evolved to incorporate management software and other new technology. In this BuiltWorlds Session at the Venture East Conference in Miami this past November, we had the opportunity to visit with Justin Saeheng, Head of Construction Tech, Stanley Black and Decker and leader of the construction technology group for Stanley Black & Decker, the world’s largest tool company as he discusses their focus on innovation. Beyond the performance of the drill and beyond understanding up and downtime, SBD is pioneering integration of tools with schedules and project management systems. As an illustration of that point, in 2021, SBD launched OneConstruct, just one of many initiatives under way at Stanley Black & Decker.
Stanley Black & Decker, among its sector initiatives, is also a member of the BuiltWorlds Venture Forum, a group of more than a dozen industry leaders collaborating to foster the sector’s next generation of transformational startups.
