During the weekend of BuiltWorlds’ 2017 Hackathon, FMI rolled out their game-changing Construction Profitability Challenge, a dynamic simulation the company had been developing for eight years. The practical, remarkably realistic experience allowed teams of the industry’s future business leaders to compete through seven unique rounds running their own businesses. At the end of the weekend, Northwestern University students took home the gold, harnessing their adaptable nature and thirst for knowledge to create a model for a business that not impressed the judges, but had potential to be sustainable moving forward!
