Mark Whitson, DPR Construction

Mark began his career at DPR Construction in 2001, starting as a self-perform drywall crew member before he rose to the role of Project Engineer. In 2023, Whitson began the role of DPR president, proving his excellence within the industry. He has a background in construction engineering, along with an ample amount of experience with project management, customer satisfaction, and operational management.

Mark will be starting the 2023 Americas Summit general sessions strong with his keynote presentation on September 20. He will be discussing the future of business strategy's within AEC in the era of digital transformation from the CEO perspective.

Gordon Gill, Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture

Gordon Gill is a renowned architect that is known for his expertise in performance-based architecture, with an emphasis on the symbiotic relationship between design and functionality. He leads with a focus on environmental consciousness, with buildings and projects that have shaped cityscapes around the globe. Gordon is a founding partner of Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture and has a portfolio that includes iconic structures like the Jeddah Tower and the Pearl River Tower.

Gordon will be speaking on the first day of the general conference sessions in a keynote address entitled: “The Future of Buildings and Cities”.

William Schlacks, Equiptmentshare

William “Willy” Schlacks is the president and co-founder of EquipmentShare, a construction tech company that is revolutionizing asset utilization for contractors. Willy and his brother, Jabbok, grew this company from the ground up, from winning a startup competition in 2014, to now being a nationwide company with over 90 locations and a dedicated team of 3000 employees.

Willy is going to be doing his keynote speech on the second day of general sessions, with a focus on where the future industry is headed from a technology perspective.
