As part of a small, dedicated and growing team, the ideal candidate is someone who brings an entrepreneurial, self-starting spirit and will take a leadership role in maintaining our databases, producing research newsletters, briefings and reports, presentations, and programming Analyst Calls and other events. In addition to gathering and analyzing data and producing written reports, presentations, and graphics to help our members stay on top of and connected with the latest in emerging trends and tech in the sector, this position affords opportunities to host analyst calls, facilitate member discussions, and deliver client-facing presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain our company, case study, member, investor, and other content databases, both in our member-facing web site as well as in our proprietary databases and CRM.
  • Collect and analyze relevant data from BuiltWorlds Members and identify industry trends
  • Assist with writing, editing, and publishing content resulting from research. This includes research reports, briefings, lists, and other types of content
  • Assist in programming conferences including topic creation, speaker identification and selection, guest registration, outreach, and conference logistics
  • Identify and understand hot-button topics, gaps, and areas of need across the industry
  • Maintain an overall knowledge of BuiltWorlds Members to support research throughout the year and to promote deeper engagement with the members.
  • Support member acquisition, onboarding, and renewal efforts. This would include direct interaction with members, expert speakers and resources, and other key stakeholders.
  • Over time, develop leadership knowledge and relationships in a specific area of BuiltWorlds coverage, furthering the growth of the network in that area, building our specialized content and programming in that area, and even cultivating a particular following of active members-users in that arena.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor\’s degree or equivalent. Minimum 3.5 GPA.
  • Must be a proactive and disciplined producer, comfortable with learning and maintaining certain research, databases, and other member communications processes to a deadline and with little day-to-day supervision.
  • 1-3 years\’ in marketing, journalism, consulting, advisory, professional network, research analyst or B2B – oriented digital media or related role is a plus.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of or experience in buildings or infrastructure sectors a plus.
  • Experience working in digital-first companies a plus.
  • Experience managing and working in CRM\’s, Adobe, WordPress a plus
  • Must be passionate about connecting with and helping members and prospective members.
  • Experience working in a small, scrappy, bootstrapping environment or evidence of an ability to thrive in that type of environment is critical. If you are looking for a \”big company\” experience, this is probably not the right environment for you.
