Who is BuiltWorlds?

BuiltWorlds is a fast growing, Chicago-based startup that offers stakeholder companies in the Buildings and Infrastructure Sector, a variety of research and networking tools to help them make key decisions about how to adapt successfully to the changes in technology and other areas impacting their industry. We host industry events monthly around the world for our nearly 300 members in 23 countries and offer membership in a growing network of more than 2,000 professionals combined with an expanding menu of added tools and research to help our member companies succeed.


How Do We Fulfill Our Mission?

Through a suite of recurring subscription membership options ranging from $3,500 to $50,000 or more, BuiltWorlds arms companies with the information, connections and tools they need, not just to survive, but to thrive as this massive sector of the world economy is transformed, digitally.


What Would Your Role Be?

Your role will be to find and connect with the right people at prospective member companies, leveraging BuiltWorlds\’ significant funnel of leads and also by creating your own, as well as working with companies that are initially drawn to our BuiltWorlds events to help them find value in membership as well as to find the right research packages to fit their needs.. You will assess the specific needs of each organization you contact, help them understand BuiltWorlds menu of offerings and find the specific suite of solutions that fits best for them, and partner with others on the team to help them with upgrades and renewals.


What Does the Role Require?

  1. An insatiable passion for building the network. Only four years into our digitally-leverage membership journey, there are still thousands of prospects for membership. Your job is to find the ones most ready to take advantage of BuiltWorlds\’ offerings and get them engaged.
  2. Know the products, our research and networking offerings, inside and out. Answer Inbound questions about membership, converting inbound to digital members or setting up meetings with others at BuiltWorlds to help land bigger membership packages. Be proactive, professional, and proficient.
  3. Be diligent about following up on opportunities to generate leads at BuiltWorlds\’ many proprietary events and to follow up on the many leads and introductions that come your way through BuiltWorlds constantly expanding content and program initiatives.
  4. Create awesome emails and phone exchanges that drive positive engagement.
  5. Be Meticulous about maintaining the Hubspot CRM.
  6. Work closely with our analyst team to help prospective member companies learn about the benefits associated with upgrading their memberships for greater access to BuiltWorlds resources and closing on those upgrades opportunities.
  7. Work proactively with professionals in Construction, Tech, and Related Fields around the world. That means calls could be early in the morning or late in the evening, depending on where the potential member is.
  8. Be prepared to address inbound leads within three hours, as much as possible.
  9. In addition to subscription memberships, tap into added sales opportunities with sponsorship packages for BuiltWorlds industry-leading events and content and upgraded opportunities to access deeper research and advisory services and other solutions.
  10. Maintain a high level of professionalism, representing BuiltWorlds and also building relationships reflective of a leading provider of high level insights at face to face meetings, dinners, and other events around the world.
