Formwork Labs, an early-stage accelerator program focused on emerging technology purpose built for the built industry, announced that it will be accepting applications for its second cohort in December 2022. The program is jointly powered by BuiltWorlds and Brick & Mortar Ventures. The cohort was announced in May 2022 at the BuiltWorlds EAME Summit, where five companies were selected to go through a 10-week program which culminated in a Demo Day at BuiltWorlds Americas Summit.
“Formwork Labs helped us gain exposure with international Venture Capital funds and potential clients,” said Ernesto Gonzalez Fernandez, the COO of Buildpeer, a member of the inaugural cohort. He also added “the program gave our team additional confidence to believe in our team and our product.” The ten-week program included weekly meetings with the start-up cohort and mentors, access to BuiltWorlds platform, conferences, and networking opportunities and the chance to pitch at the 2022 BuiltWorlds Americas Summit, to executive-level construction technology leaders.
Formwork Labs was founded to foster a more dynamic environment for innovation and growth among entrepreneurs and startups developing software and hardware solutions in the construction industry, including architecture, engineering, construction, and facilities
management. Cohort members can expect to have conversations with potential customers, investors and experienced entrepreneurs. Each company is also paired with several mentors to provide additional resources for the early-stage group.
Applications open on December 1st and interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis until January 13th.
