Robotics Analyst Briefing featuring Hilti and the Jaibot

Hilti is a firm that prides itself on providing “white glove service” to its clients. But what if underneath those white gloves are the hands of robots? That is the vision for the industry that Hilti, along with other leaders, sees. 

Simona Kalova, a digital construction & robotics business unit manager for Hilti, detailed the Jaibot in the most recent BuiltWorlds Analyst Call on robotics. Robotics are able to alleviate safety concerns and labor shortages that are currently straining the construction industry. Hilti’s Jaibot seeks to address these matters specifically related to overhead drilling for hangers. Overhead work can be both unsafe and strenuous. Heights present a constant risk of falls, as well as the potential need for surgery and other health ailments down the road.
