2024 Construction Tech Conference: Lessons Learned – Precogs

Did you know research shows more than 40% of an AEC worker’s knowledge is known only to them? This one statistic is a root cause to so many issues our businesses face today: inefficient and costly role transitions; day-to day information inaccessibility delays; avoidable rework and errors; ballooning project risk; and brain drain due to the retiring expert labor pool.

During this session from the 2024 Construction Tech Conference, Hamzah Shanbari, director of innovation for Haskell, and Kyle Hudson, vice president of VIATechnik, discussed why knowledge management (KM) in AEC is so critical right now. They broke down how advanced technologies, such as AI, can support and accelerate KM, and how a state-of-the-art KM system can and should link to other mainstream construction technology tools. The discussion also included a look at Haskell and VIATechnik’s innovative partnership, including how Haskell leverages Precogs: an AI-powered scalable knowledge management platform.
