Role :
The role of a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and ONX.AI is a truly dynamic position, operating at the convergence of software design, development, and industry engagement. We are looking for Construction professionals who have been a part of multiple projects from site-start through handover and can provide insights to shape technology solutions for AEC Industry.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years’ experience in the Construction industry
- A bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction, Construction Management, Architecture, related industry and/or demonstrable experience
- Experience on projects with some or all of the characteristics – a diverse set of project types, large complex multi-building projects, complicated buildings targeting specific performance goals, prefabricated building projects, and/or net zero energy building.
- Experience on projects using a Last Planner System (LPS) or hybrid Critical Path Method (CPM) approach
- Experience with BIM workflows for Pre-construction & Construction
Good to have:
- Knowledge of industry standards, workflows, data formats and interoperability techniques
- Ability to synthesize complex data and input from multiple sources into technical requirements.
- An interest in sustainability, carbon reduction, and how buildings can be designed and constructed more effectively
- The ability to describe technical issues, simply. Technical story-telling that brings the users/audience in, while also guiding them to a path of understanding
Responsibilities:
- Develop and own strategies for continuous improvement of different business process related to construction and how these can be converted to scalable software product solutions
- Responsible for aligning technical solutions to customers’ business goals and demonstrating value with technical solutions
- Actively develop, manage, and nurture industry relationships, conducting ongoing, in-depth analysis of long-term technology issues and strategies
- Facilitate sessions and discussions with industry groups, harvesting and synthesizing feedback to develop business and/or technical requirements.
- Provide Subject Matter expertise to software teams for defining technical requirements for feature development in an agile process. Actively participate in user testing and implementation of new features for existing and new customers
- Maintain a comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of the technologies of her/his domain, and provide insight into the industry best practices, business processes, applications, and solutions
